People The Founder ~ Sara Purves (pictured left) Fuzzy Sweater Creative Inc. was founded by Sara Purves in 1999. Her objective is to offer companies and organizations the same high-level design and marketing communication services usually associated only with larger agencies. Her aim is to provide her clients with direct access to the creative department thereby minimizing the interference and confusion sometimes caused by too many middlemen. This allows for the best creative work to be done and most cost-effective execution for the client. Until 1989, Sara attended the Claude Watson School for the Arts – a prestigious Toronto based high school for gifted creative students. She then moved on to the Ontario College of Art and Design for 4 years where she majored in Environmental Design. After graduation in 1993, she pursued many creative arenas including: retail store design, fashion design, had gallery exhibitions and volunteered in many areas of the arts. Prior to forming Fuzzy Sweater, Sara was an art director and graphic designer at several advertising agencies and creative design shops where she worked on a variety of types of work. Sara is most interested in working with clients whose business contribute to the well-being of society in some way. You will notice the focus of her clientele is either healthcare (with a special interest in cancer research) or not-for-profit related organizations. Sara considers her clients and suppliers friends and has manifested long-lasting relationships with them. She cares very much for them and their businesses and knows that their sucesses equal hers. Keeping their best interests at heart has helped promote a business entirely based upon referrals. Sara's most recent venture is YourMomma.ca, an online shop selling the wares of creative moms.
